Real Madrid won’t sell Lunin for less than €30 million -report
Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin appears to be on his way out of the club even after a very successful season between the sticks. Lunin replaced Courtois very efficiently after the starting goalkeeper suffered an ACL tear early in the 2023-24 campaign, but ultimately the Ukrainian player lost his starting spot as soon as Courtois recovered from his injury.
Lunin wants to be a starting goalkeeper and Madrid can’t give him that kind of role, so not only he hasn’t signed a contract extension with the club but he’s also willing to leave, although Real Madrid will not sell him for less than €30 million, according to a report from MARCA.
Chelsea are reportedly really interested in signing Lunin this summer, but will they want to spend that much when his current deal expires just a year from now? If Lunin ends up leaving Real Madrid, Kepa will almost certainly be the backup goalkeeper going forward, per those same reports.
