Gabriel Martinelli Lauds Vinicius Jr in Brazil Press Conference

In a press conference ahead of Brazil’s international friendly against Mexico, Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli, didn’t hold back his admiration for his fellow countryman, Vinicius Jr. Martinelli’s words were not only filled with respect but also carried a strong endorsement of Vinicius’s potential to reach the pinnacle of football success.

“It is a great pride to play with Vinicius, to be with him every day as well,” Martinelli expressed. “I see a special boy who deserves it. In my opinion, he deserves to win the Ballon d’Or,”

Vinicius Jr, having just finished an incredible season at Real Madrid, has been Europe’s most devastating player in Champions League knockouts for the past three games.

Martinelli also emphasized the positive atmosphere within the Brazilian squad, where healthy competition serves as a driving force for improvement.

“It is a healthy competition (in the Brazil squad) and people have to make the most of that,” Martinelli remarked. “It is a pleasure to play with Vinicius and Rodrygo,”

As Brazil prepares to face Mexico in an international friendly, the presence of Real Madrid’s Champions League players, including Rodrygo, Vinicius, and Militao, adds another layer of excitement to the upcoming match — although it remains to be seen if they’ll play or be rested.
