El Clásico: 21 April 2024

The Daily Merengue is a place where you can feel free to discuss all things football. Do not be alarmed by the overt RMCF bias. It’s in the name!

Shoutout to the mods who do a fantastic job, Valyrian Steel, Kung_Fu_Zizou (AKA KFZ), Juninho, NeRObutBlanco and yours truly, Felipejack

El Clásico day!

Ancelotti comments

The coach has made comments in yesterday press conference:

Criticism after the match vs City? I don’t see any unhappy Madrid fans after the game vs City, they shouldn’t be. Neither am I.”

How I was feeling before Rüdiger’s penalty? Rüdiger took 3 penalites before we flew to Manchester and he scored all of them. Sometimes it’s not about the technique, it’s about how they feel

We trained for penalties on Monday before traveling. The most important aspect is the emotional one. If you are ready to shoot. The players have to be honest. Sometimes I had difficulty choosing. The other day there were more than five players who wanted to shoot.
