About OutLawed India

OutLawed India is a not-for-profit company founded and run by NLSIU alums that aims to equip communities with the knowledge and skills required to access law and justice independently.

OutLawed India has worked with 700+ law students to enable legal awareness and skill-building for 5000+ people.

About Project Mahiti

“Mahiti” in Kannada means “Information”. With the ongoing General Election across the country, Project Mahiti ismeantto spread information about election laws. Through this program, law students are required to do the following:

Please note that this is NOT a campaign. You are ONLY required to create awareness in your communities.

During the project, the students will receive:

  1. Resources that will help them conduct these tasks
  2. Mentorship from OutLawed India to guide and support during the initiative

Every volunteer will also receive a certificate upon completion.

Project Duration

The project runs from April 21st to May 7th!
