Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut is organising NHRC Sponsored Programme on Human Rights & Women Rights on February 17.

About the Programme

The transformative ambition of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development , which seeks “to realize the human rights of all” is firmly anchored in human rights principles and standards, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the international human rights treaties. Sustainable development goals that ‘leaves no one behind’ are central to all its three dimensions – social, environmental, and economic.

Gender equality is at the very heart of human rights. It is often said that the inherent strength of a society, a culture and a system is judged by the way its women are treated and the role assigned to them by society.

Keeping in view the above aims insight, Sardar Patel Subharti Institute of Law is going to organize a One Day Programme on “Human Rights & Women Rights” sponsored by NHRC.

Eligibility

University and college students are invited to participate. Registration is limited to first 200 applicants only on the first cum first serve basis. Organisers will provide food, other logistic support and  materials to all the participants.

Call for Papers

All papers are to be presented in English only. They should be submitted in hard as well as soft copy. Paper should be should be in Times New Roman 12 point font and double spaced. Main Title should be in full capitals, bold and centered. Research paper should not exceed 5,000 words. Abstract should be sent to [email protected]  latest by 15-02-2024.

• Role of HEIs to ensure Gender Equality
• Gender Equality and Human rights of Vulnerable Genders
• Role of Law students and Civil Society in the attainment of Gender Justice
• Human rights attainment and Ambedkar’s vision on Financial Stability among Women
• Any other Human Right issues connected with theme.
