Indices: Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.24%

Shares of Macrotech Developers Ltd.(up 1.66 per cent), Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd.(up 1.51 per cent), Godrej Properties Ltd.(up 0.6 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects Ltd.(up 0.57 per cent) and Phoenix Mills Ltd.(up 0.27 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.

On the other hand, Sobha Ltd.(down 1.27 per cent), Brigade Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.07 per cent), Swan Energy Ltd.(down 0.6 per cent), Oberoi Realty Ltd.(down 0.44 per cent) and DLF Ltd.(down 0.15 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Realty index closed 0.24 per cent up at 764.9.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 91.95 points at 21441.35, while the BSE Sensex stood up 229.84 points at 71336.8.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 ended in the green, while 8 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indian Renewable, JP Power and HFCL were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Themis Medicare, J Kumar Infra, Gallantt Metal, Syncom Form and Starteck Finance hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Bajel Projects, Penta Gold, India Shelter Financ, SS Infrastructure and Raj Rayon hit their fresh 52-week lows.
