About ALAA

Established in 1946 as the Australian Universities Law Schools Association, the Association has for the past 73 years provided a platform for Australasian law teachers and legal scholars to network, collaborate and share expertise, primarily by way of the annual Conference, the Association’s Interest Groups, and the Association’s academic publications including the Legal Education Review, and the Journal of ALAA.

About the Conference

The 2024 ALAA conference brings together legal scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to explore the challenges facing legal scholarship and education, and possible solutions, in an era marked by rapid technological advancement, shifting societal norms, and evolving legal landscapes.

The conference will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, paper presentations, and interactive workshops. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with leading scholars and practitioners in the field, share their research, and contribute to shaping the future of legal academic scholarship.

About the Call for Paper

ALAA is inviting submissions for presentation at the 2024 ALAA conference 3–5 July 2024. This year’s conference aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration, seeking to identify innovative approaches to address these challenges and shape the future/s of legal practice, scholarship, and education.
