Antonio Rudiger and Toni Kroos impress yet again as Germany advance to the quarter-finals

Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos and Antonio Rudiger had great performances yet again as Germany beat Denmark 2-0 to book their tickets to the quarter-finals of Euro 2024.

Germany dominated possession, as always, with Kroos — once again — being in the middle of it all, with a game-high 106 touches to control the entire game for his country. On the defensive end, Rudiger put in a man-of-the-match performance and defended with all his mighty will.

Kroos ended the game with 91 passes (95% accuracy), four key passes, four out of five long balls completed, two clearances, a tackle and an interception. He was at the base of everything Germany did, and also had an assist to Nico Schlotterbeck ruled out due to a controversial decision by VAR.

Rudiger had a monstrous game, and it showed on his stat sheet: 82 touches, two tackles, two interceptions, four clearances, four blocked shots, and 63 passes with 87% passing accuracy.

Germany will now face the winner of Spain vs Georgia — potentially setting up a mouth-watering clash with Spain, who have won every single game so far without conceding a single goal.
