Rudiger questionable against Valencia with muscle fatigue
Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger is currently questionable for Saturday’s away match against Valencia after suffering muscle fatigue during El Clasico. Rudiger was visibly limping late in the game but managed to stay in the game.
Real Madrid’s medical staff has ruled out a significant tear, meaning that Rudiger will just need to get some rest and minor treatment to recover from this small injury. The German defender is an undisputed starter on the team’s defensive line, so his potential absence could damage Real Madrid’s odds of winning the three points against Valencia, who have been struggling and are currently sitting on the very bottom of the table.
Rudiger and the rest of the team won’t be back in training until Tuesday, as coach Carlo Ancelotti decided to give them two days off after the 0-4 loss in El Clasico. Rudiger’s status for Saturday’s match will be updated throughout the week.
