UCL Matchday
Yesterday training
Per report, the team talk by Ancelotti yesterday lasted longer than usual.
How are we going to play?
Kiyan attended Carlo Ancelotti press-conference and asked “about the tug of war between a low block (Arsenal style) or a game of transitions, as Bernardo Silva said that City don’t like a game of transition”.
Carlo answered in his usual way. If we ask me, he didn’t tell us what we really wanted to know:
The plan is to play a complete game. To attack well and defend well. To avoid losing the ball. Try to play well in counter-attacks. We have to focus on having a complete game and not only in one aspect.
Personally, I’d expect the same approach as the first leg. But then I came across the following report from Relevo:
Real Madrid have decided to press high against City tomorrow. In the first leg, the team did the high-press but not completely and the assessment was that the performance was good.
